This homemade Bulk Dry Oatmeal Cookie Base makes baking fresh oatmeal cookies quick and easy. Mix a batch once, store it in your pantry, and simply measure out what you need whenever you're craving warm, bakery-style oatmeal cookies.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 3 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Add the flour, quick-cooking oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda to a very large mixing bowl.
  • Whisk thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined and there are no pockets of brown sugar remaining.
  • Transfer the finished dry mix to a clean, airtight container or 64-ounce storage jar.
  • Seal tightly and store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months. Stir or shake the mix before each use if it has been sitting for an extended period.
  • For a single batch of cookies, measure out 2 cups of the dry mix and follow your prepared single-batch recipe.

Notes

Be sure to break up any clumps of brown sugar before mixing to ensure even distribution.
Quick-cooking oats are recommended for the best cookie texture.
Always use a dry measuring cup when scooping the mix to keep moisture out of the container.
Store in an airtight container away from heat and humidity for maximum freshness.
Shake or stir the mix before using if it has settled during storage.
