Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together the Bulk Dry Vanilla Pudding Mix and cornstarch.
  • Gradually whisk in the cold milk until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat, whisking constantly until the pudding thickens and comes to a gentle boil.
  • Continue cooking for 1 to 2 minutes while whisking until the pudding reaches a smooth, creamy consistency.
  • Remove from the heat and divide the pudding evenly among serving bowls.
  • Serve warm or cover the surface with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming and refrigerate until chilled before serving.

Notes

Whisk continuously while cooking to prevent lumps.
Whole milk will produce the richest, creamiest pudding, but 2% milk also works well.
Cover the surface of the pudding with plastic wrap while chilling to prevent a skin from forming.
Serve with fresh berries, whipped cream, crushed cookies, or use as a filling for your favorite desserts.
